Same sign, different story
Customers do not see your org chart. They see one brand and expect the same experience in Hartlepool as in Darlington. When each branch 'has always done it this way', reporting becomes fiction and training never sticks. The board often cannot name which number is the truth across sites. That is operational technical debt in plain sight, not a postcode problem.
What to line up first: agreement, not a login
Multi-site is usually an agreement gap, not a missing SKU. Who is allowed to set defaults? Where is the system of record for a customer, a job, or a line the P&L trusts? Map the process before you buy software and clear ownership for system work are the two articles in this series that keep coming back. If a spreadsheet is still the brain for a line, name that out loud and plan a sensible next step, not a moral lecture about Excel.
Process before another platform
We do not start by demoing a shiny system. We map the journey you want — then align branches on the minimum set of non-negotiables. Our process page is short on purpose: listen, document, then wire. We are in Teesside and the North East and work remotely when the fit is right; book a free systems review to walk a multi-site slice with you.
After alignment
Then (and only then) does a custom or integrated build make sense, or a rescue if you are stuck in someone else's mess. Ongoing system care keeps the rules from sliding back. Read more on multi-location work or get in touch.
